…and other wizarding accoutrements. Today was the day we went to the Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour. It was absolutely brilliant.
I don’t wish to spoil it for anyone who may have yet to go but I have to say we did end up in the gift shop and we, or should I say my daughters, did buy wands!
18 years ago today our second daughter was born. Wow. How time flies!
Have a really great birthday, Madeleine!
And, just to embarrass you slightly, here’s a picture of you from those early days!
Forgive me reader for I have sinned. It has been a month since my last confession.
Anyway, I’ve been busy*. At least that’s my excuse. I have also neglected Facebook, not that I have ever been a serious user, but having spent an hour checking my friends I realised that there had been a lot of changes. Friends and family had broken limbs, moved house, changed jobs and this was the first I knew about it. I guess it just goes to show that you really do need to keep in touch with your friends, even if it is only through the medium of social networking.
While I’m on the subject of the “Social Network”, I was really pleased that The King’s Speech beat that upstart American offering! I still don’t believe our transatlantic cousins understand real history as subject matter!
Oh, well. Time to go. Promise I won’t leave it so long next time.
* If I told you I’d have to kill you.
Today it was my first-born daughter’s 21st Birthday. I’m still surprised at how the time has flown by, it certainly doesn’t seem like 21 years since she arrived in our lives. Gosh, I must be really old!
Anyway, HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY, LUCI!
My daughter Madeleine has completed year one of her Photography A Level. This evening her college held their end of year art exhibition, so I went to see her work. The college had laid on a pretty good event, with beer & wine!
I was really pleased to see my daughter’s work on display. I am biased of course but she’s done some really great work – well done Maddie and I know you’ll get the results you deserve!
It seems like only yesterday that my youngest daughter Madeleine arrived on the scene but, amazingly, 17 years have flown by and on Friday she turned 17th.
She had a party for her close friends and, although I was banished to Spare Oom, the house has survived and she had a great time.
Many Happy Returns Madeleine!
